Centrally-symmetric Tight Surfaces and Graph Embeddings

Abstract: We prove a sharp upper bound for the substantial codimension of a centrally-symmetric tight polyhedral surface in Euclidean space. This is related to embeddings of the edge graph of the $m$-octahedron into surfaces.
