The configuration file contains the URL of your bookmark source, and other
settings. By default the file
jboomcfg.xml
in the
user's home directory is used. You may choose a different local path,
but keep in mind that this path must exist on every single client you use.
You can even prevent jBoom from using a configuration file at all, but
then you have to enter your settings each time.

Alternatively you can place the configuration file on a server (not
necessarily the one that contains the program file). You then need to enter the
settings only once, instead on each client you use. However, this makes the
installation private; you can't share it with others without sharing bookmarks,
passwords etc. as well.
