HOW TO ADD AND MANAGE SWF FILES

Add SWF files to Files list

There are several ways to add a SWF file to Files list:

1. In Simple mode choose one of the following ways:

  • Either choose "Add file" option from "Simple mode" menu item;
  • or click "Add SWF" button.

2. In Advanced mode there are also two ways to add SWF files to Files list:

  • Either choose "Open with" option from "Advanced mode" menu item;
  • or browse to the required file by clicking the corresponding button.

3. Also, you can drag-and-drop files to SWF Protector window in both modes, Simple and Advanced.

4. Or right-click a SWF file, choose "Open with DComSoft SWF Protector 3" and choose the mode, Simple or Advanced.

5. Also, you can use console (or "Run command" in KDE's "K"-menu). Type "swfprotector_gui /path/to/you/file.swf". The file name must not start with "file://" because DComSoft SWF Protector 3 can handle only local files, and therefore it is not protocol aware software.

Remove SWF files from Files list

Select the file you want to remove from the list and click "Remove File" button, or click "Clear List" button to delete all the files from the list.

Note: As in Advanced mode SWF Protector can protect only one file at a time, there are no "Remove File" and "Clear List" options in Advanced mode.

Play a SWF file

To play a SWF file click button. Remember, to play SWF files you must have Flash Player installed on your PC.

Save and view a SWF file

SWF Protector saves the protected SWF file with the same destination path as the original one.
The source file is saved as original_***.swf, where *** is the file name. If a file named "original_***.swf" already exists, then the file is backuped as "original_***_1.swf", etc.

To open a folder, containing the file, click button.

You can find out the names of the original and backuped files in File info.
