SIMPLE MODE

SWF Protector can operate in two modes: simple and advanced.

In Simple Mode SWF Protector can manage either one file or several ones in a batch at a time. The file protection is chosen by SWF Protector by default according to Action Script version, for both standard and user code. Read more about protection methods.

In Advanced Mode only one file at a time may be processed with more prolific protection settings: choice of protection method, protection of selected code blocks etc.

The interfaces of Simple and Advanced modes are of similar functionality, but look different.

Menu Bar:

  • Protector menu
Choose the mode of SWF Protector: Simple or Advanced, or quit the program.
  • Simple/Advanced mode menu
Shows which mode is active now. Here you can also: add/remove files, clear File List, enable/disable file info viewing, open the file (only in Advanced Mode).
  • Settings menu
Enable/disable here the following options: show splashscreen at startup, show message after protection
  • Help menu
Find out here how to buy or register SWF Protector, get access to User Manual.

File List

In File List the file name and the file status are displayed. The following statuses can be present:

  1. not protected
  2. protected
  3. not a file (either an unavailable file, or a not existing file, or a device/socket)
  4. no Action Script
  5. not a SWF file (sometimes this status may be received by a SWF file, which is either already protected by some other SWF protector, or is damaged or not completely downloaded)

You may play a SWF file the name of which is displayed in File List.

NOTE: You must have Flash Player installed on your PC to play the file.

If you click on the folder sign you’ll be directed to where the files (the original and the protected ones) are stored.
Press the buttons to the right of File List to remove the selected file from the list or clear File List.

File Info
The File info displays such info details as file’s size, SWF version, AS version etc.

You can hide and show File info panel through the "File info" button in the lower left corner of the window or by using "Simple/Advanced mode" menu.

If there are errors in protection process, you may view them in Warning list. Click in the right lower corner of File info to evoke Warning list.

You may save info of Warning list. Click "Save to file" and choose a file in the evoked window.
