Note: This is certainly not a complete list. There may be other open tickets
that need to be added. If you think there is one that should be listed,
please let me know at wu-ftpd-bugs@academ.com. Please be sure to include
the open ticket numebr.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 476 from Andrew Smith <smitha@mach3ww.com> reports a bug that truncates
a file of the same name in the directory when a file is transferred. This
problem has been confirmed on Linux, but does not occur on FreeBSD.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 522 from Oskar Pearson <oskar@is.co.za> points out a problem with
%T processing (on Linux) when a class is used without a limit. This problem
appears to affect other utilities as well on Linux (like sendmail). It does
not appear to affect other operating systems.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 632 from Alexander Bornik <alex@halex.ml.org> is having a problem with
getting connections to the server on his Linux 2.0.33 (SuSE 5.1) system. It
will work for a long time and then connections will start to be refused.
He restarts inetd and things are back to normal. I can't reproduce this, but
it may be some strange interaction between Linux and ftpd that I don't see.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 638 from Harold Pritchett <HAROLD@UGA.CC.UGA.EDU> says that DIR does
not work (probably NLST) on AIX. I don't have AIX, so I can't debug this
problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 665 from Jan I. Ellertsen <Jan.Ellertsen@edb.uib.no> noted that
the wtmp output was not capturing the hostname in HP/UX. I don't have HP/UX.
I can't fix this problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 682 from Hubert.Figuiere@solsoft.com notes that directories with a "
in the name should be escaped according to RFC 959. wu-ftpd does not do this.
This will be addressed in a future release.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 703 from <windy@hyundai.net> notes that on IRIX 6.2, the xferlog does
not contain any records. I don't have IRIX, so I can't debug this problem.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ticket 717 from Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@tigger.itc.virginia.edu> notes that
under AIX, the command line arguements are not being parsed. This does not
happen on other operating systems. I don't have AIX so I can't fix this one.
