>Description:
I downloaded the package acroread7-7.0.1 and I was up to install it using make install command.

It seems that the dependency of the package gtk2-2.2.1-4.i386.rpm is broken.
I tried to manually download it from http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/pds.cgi?ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2 but the message on the server is :
Sources for ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2
Sorry, did not find the sources for ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2

can you solve that?

the terminal output was:

# make install
===>  Installing for acroread7-7.0.1
===>   acroread7-7.0.1 depends on file: /compat/linux/usr/lib/libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0 - not found

>How-To-Repeat:
try to run install the package acroread7-7.0.1 on a machine without the package gtk2-2.2.1-4.i386.rpm installed

On "make install" the package gtk2-2.2.1-4.i386.rpm is not found on any ftp servers. Its binaries are not found also in http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/pds.cgi?ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2 (port link on download link section)

Today= Sunday 27th November
>Fix:
Correct the link problem in Makefile and on the FreeBSD site http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/pds.cgi?ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2. Or if unsuported leave a note so I go for the 6.0.

 Joao Francisco,

 seems that your ports are outdated. Current version of
 x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2 is 2.4.14-4 and is fetchable:

 =====
 /usr/ports/x11-toolkits/linux-gtk2 > make fetch
 ===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found
 => gtk2-2.4.14-4.fc3.i386.rpm doesn't seem to exist in /usr/ports/distfiles/rpm.
 => Attempting to fetch from ftp://limestone.uoregon.edu/fedora/updates/3/i386/.
 gtk2-2.4.14-4.fc3.i386.rpm                    100% of 4484 kB  266 kBps 00m00s
 =====

 Please, update your ports and try again.

 PS. You may ask quiestions like this at freebsd-emulation@ and/or
 freebsd-ports@ MLs before sending a PR.
