>Description:
After installing the flash pluggin for mozilla:
cd /usr/ports/www/flashplugin-mozilla ; make && make clean install), firefox binary was executed. Worked fine, until entering a page which called for the flashplugin, which called the flash plugin lib file /usr/X11R6/lib/browser_plugins/libnpflash.so. The browser then crashed. It reported the following error into the terminal:

/libexec/ld-elf.so.1: /usr/X11R6/lib/browser_plugins/libnpflash.so: Undefined symbol "XtWindowToWidget"
>How-To-Repeat:
install www/firefox (1.0.3) from ports
install www/flashplugin-mozilla from ports
start firefox "$ firefox"
enter the URL of a page with flash (http://www.newgrounds.com)
browser will crash.
>Fix:
uninstalling www/flashplugin-mozilla will result in the browser no longer crashing. But, of course, you cannot view flash files.

You're sure you don't want linux-flashplugin and flashpluginwrapper instead?

Has there been any movement on this bug? The same issue firefox with
flashplugin-mozilla crashing is still occurring here with the latest from
 ports.

The same behavior of the crashing firefox browser is seen here. Any
 movement on this bug?

I apologize if bug-followup@freebsd.org is the wrong address to use.

I have a patch for this bug (only touches the port's Makefile), if someone
can apply it. It's attached, and also at
 http://www.eecs.berkeley.edu/~tmaher/pr-ports-84140.patch

My guess is that at some point firefox was linked against libXt at
compile, but isn't anymore. So, I just link the plugin against libXt
 directly, and problem solved.

I'm unfamiliar with the correct procedure for getting this applied,
though. Does PORTREVISION have to be incremented?

Dear maintainer of FreeBSD port www/flashplugin-mozilla, please take a

Logitech is infamous for providing 30 MB compressed driver software packages
that install a bunch of crap applications on the system and round up the number
of icons in the system tray to the nearest power of two.
