Installed 4.9-RELEASE #0 from cd, and immediately cvsup'd stable and remade world to 4.11-STABLE. When I try to make XFree86-4-libraries from ports, it always dumps at the same part.

 It may be my kernel. I've been having trouble compiling some other
 things as well. I will reinstall and try it out.
