>Description:
Zope installs, but doesn't bind to a port.
After some seconds, the process(es) vanish without any trace.
At first, I thought it was the jail I originally wanted to install this into, but it also fails on the main host.
>How-To-Repeat:

>Fix:
It works on my home-machine with CURRENT from a fortnight ago or so.
But that's not an option. Also, migrating the machine to 4.TEN is currently also not an option.

 So,

I just went and installed FreeBSD 4.9 in a vmware and brought it up to p11.
 FreeBSD vmfreebsd49.example.org 4.9-RELEASE-p11 FreeBSD 4.9-RELEASE-p11 #0:
 Fri Jul 9 01:06:04 CEST 2004
 root@vmfreebsd49.example.org:/usr/src/sys/compile/FBSD49 i386

 Then, I installed zope:

 The result ?

 It doesn't work at all.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I can run

 vmfreebsd49# /usr/local/etc/rc.d/zope.sh start
 Starting Zope

So, am I incredibly stupid or does zope for now just work on CURRENT ?
That would be bad, because I need it on 4.9, as I said.

I also mailed the maintainer and didn't get a reply - I will give him the
benefit of the doubt and just guess he's on vacation ;-)

But it would really interest me, if someone can verify/reproduce this.

 cheers,
 Rainer

I have installed Zope 2.7.1 on FreeBSD 4.10 and found out that some files
in ${ZOPEBASEDIR}/lib/python are installed with false permissions.

I don't understand why this is only a Problem under 4.x an not under
 5.x

Here is a patch to fix this.
