Phoenix Makefile timestamp: 5 Nov 22:10
Phoenix Makefile version: # $FreeBSD: ports/www/phoenix/Makefile,v 1.24 2002/11/05 12:00:22 alane Exp $
Phoenix port version: phoenix-0.4_4

system perl (version 5.005_03)
>Description:
When Phoenix is built with system perl on 4.7-RELEASE it doesn't
run at all but shows the following error message:
----snip----
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: chrome://browser/content/browser.xul
Line Number 447,Column 34:

<menuitem label="&quitApplicationCmd.label;" id="menu_FileQuitItem"
---------------------------------^
----snap----
When built with the per5.8-port instead it works without any
problems.
>How-To-Repeat:
make sure the perl5.8-port is not installed

cd /usr/ports/www/phoenix
make
make install

then try to run phoenix and get the error message
>Fix:
As I already mentioned a workaround is to build phoenix with the
perl5.8 port (you also need to make sure that p5-File-Spec isn't
installed and that you did a "use.perl port").

Over to maintainer, let him close it.

Just as an FYI, this is a (well-)known problem, and a solution is
