>Release: FreeBSD-4.7 prerelease
>Organization:
>Environment:
>Description:
The port downloads the source tarball lsof_4.65B.freebsd.tar.gz.
The only lsof mirror that currently has this version is vic.cc.purdue.edu,
which refuses to allow downloads if your IP does not properly reverse
DNS lookup.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to make the port from an IP that does not have a reverse lookup.
>Fix:
Once more mirrors have the file, it won't be a big deal But for now,
it would be a good idea to at least put the latest version in
ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/ports/distfiles

State-Changed-Why:
We (users of the Internet) went thru this in the early 1990's when UUNET
required your IP to properly resolve in the reverse direction. It is only
due to that requirement and the popularity of ftp.uu.net at that time that
people fixed their DNS records.

So sorry, your improper DNS records aren't my, or the LSOF's authors problem
to solve.
