State-Changed-When: Fri Apr 19 09:37:03 PDT 2002
State-Changed-Why:
The error message you received is a sign that the date on your
machine is set incorrectly to some time in the distant past. This
is a common problem on Alphas which have previously run Tru64 Unix.

Please use the "date" command to check the date, and let me know
what it says so that I can close this PR if appropriate.

I provided the solution for this and asked for confirmation from
