>Description:

Installation of open-motif and XFree4 causes the deletion of
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults/ with the end result that no
app-defaults exist on the system. (Actually a symlink from
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/app-defaults -> /etc/X11/app-defaults is
created but the split up XFree86-4 packages install their app-defaults
under usr again.

For info, the installed packages are:

 I have just spent 30 mins going through all the files and come to the
 conclusion
 that what I describe in the PR is not possible ... my problem probably
 came about
 because my previous X installation had the symlink to
 /etc/X11/app-defaults and this
 wasn't removed when I cleaned up.

 Suggest PR is closed.
