Opera TP3 doesn't work. When loading a webpage (even www.opera.com) it keeps hanging on "Sending request to...". Hitting "ESC" to abort the page load can make it work sometimes. It does not seem to load all the images.
Tested with linux_base and linux_base-62 (refreshed by cvsup today)

I don't know what to say, except:

  1) "it works for me" (not very helpful, I know)

  2) I've had one other report of the same symptoms, and haven't been
     able to determine the cause.

A ktrace would be nice (don't bother do dump it, I can do that myself
 - just send me the ktrace.out file)

I see the same, and this has also been reported by two other users in
freebsd-questions today. I don't see anything similar in the opera.linux
NG. Specifically, TP3 shows most pages loaded 100%, but then takes
forever to load images. Http://www.opera.com is an example. Running
 4.5-RC, cvsupped Saturday the 19th. I had linux-base installed; after I
saw the problem, I installed linux-base 7.1, but no difference.

=09I have filed a bug report with Opera. It seems that they are having th=
 e same=20
 problem with some Linux systems.

I can confirm the same problem, with the same symptoms. I also tried
opera 6.0-BETA1 and the problem persists. It almost disappears when
connecting to WWW servers on the LAN, and when explicitly configuring a
proxy (also on the LAN). It gets worse when I do not configure a proxy
(though we have a transparent proxy), and while connected from home (RTB
modem) with or without configuring a proxy.

IMHO there are three possible causes:

   1. Opera 6.0-TP3 and -BETA1 have a network-related bug. Period.
   2. Opera 6.0-TP3 and -BETA1 trigger a bug in the Linuxulator.
   3. Opera 6.9-TP3 and -BETA1 trigger a bug in FreeBSD's TCP code.

I am using 4.5-RELEASE, BTW. I also tried linux_base-7 to no avail.

Opera 6.0 beta 2 seems to have fixed these problems.

State-Changed-Why:
This is no longer a problem:
- ports is updated to 6.0 beta 2
- no reason to still use 6.0 TP3
- 6.0 beta 2 does not have these problems (also verified by originator
of this PR)
