 Sorry, but I could not reproduce this problem.  Probably it is because
 the lang/ghc port should not build the PS/PDF version of the User's
 Guide as it is forcefully disabled in ${WRKSRC}/mk/build.mk by setting
 the value of "XMLDocWay" to "html" only.
 
 I agree that the build should not fail even when building the PS file
 but since we explicitly disable it, this has to be unrelated to
 whether textproc/dblatex is installed or not, i.e. the FreeBSD port
 has just to work.
 
 On that note, the vanilla GHC 7.4.2 FreeBSD binary tarball [1]
 contains the PDF/PS version of the User's Guide, so I assume the
 documentation sources should be fine as well.
 
 Could you please share your complete build log with us?
