 Hi,

the port/audio/csound 5.17XX has portaudio as dependancy.
unfortunately there is a version mismatch.
the present portaudio is 18.1 and csound requires V19 which exists in
 www.portaudio.com/archives, i checked it.
    Please, can we upgrade?

 best regards

Interesting. When I try to compile on my machine, I get similar compile err=
ors. On the tinderbox however, everything seems fine. Maybe its a good idea=
  to check upstream first.

 Hi, Carlo,

The Csound list helped me to solve the problem.

in fact, there are important changes since two versions of Csound.
the old libraries and binary files seated in /usr/X11R6 => bin and libs
were not deleted properly, by make deinstall, so there was a version mismatch.
 you can easily see this.
deleting all csound files seated in /usr/X11R6 made the job.
Csound v5.17.11 works fine now on current.

with this correction if needed you can close the PR.

 Thanks, and best regards.
