redshift version 1.7
os pcbsd-9 freebsd-9 release

command ---- redshift -l 40.9:73.8 -t 5500:4500 -v

results:

Location: 40.900002, 73.800003
Brightness: 1.00
Gamma: 1.000, 1.000, 1.000
Gamma ramp size too small: 0
Failed to start adjustment method randr.
Trying next method...
No more methods to try.

hardware:

ASUS notebook intel i5 using integrated graphics adapter

win7 and opensuse 11.4 also on hard drive

redshift on opensuse - works properly

on bsd:

tested as package

recompiled from ports by make install

results same

 command xrandr -q --verbose

results

 Hi,

Do all xrandr commands fail for you? Can you successfully make changes
 with `xrandr --gamma` or `xrandr --brightness` ?

There is also a fallback mode for Nvidia users called "vidmode" but I
don't know what utility would be equivalent to xrandr for that codepath.

 Thanks,

 Mark

get a 'page not found or you don't have permission to read'

this looks like an upstream problem, Colby can you submit a followup to this pr when the upstream fixes their source? or when
a fix is found?
