When setting network adaptor to bridged (using device tap0 or brodge0) the machine fails to start with message:

Failed to start the virtual machine WXP.
Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-tap0' (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND).
Unknown error creating VM (VERR_SUPDRV_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND).

 Oops, sorry.  Didn't read pkg-message properly and failed to `kldload=20
 vboxnetflt`. =20
 
 When kldloaded bridging doesn't work with bridge0 and tap0 (but it does wit=
 h=20
 my 'external' card dc0).  This means I cannot ping the host computer (or=20
 establish any other connection).  bridge0 is the interface that has the hos=
 t's=20
 IP address.
