>Description:
When selecting text in tomboy and using SHIFT+DEL to cut that highlighted text, the text does not go to the clipboard. When pasting (using SHIFT+INS, CTRL+V or pasting using the context menu), old clipboard content gets pasted.

In fact, any text cut using SHIFT+DEL gets lost.

tomboy behaves as expected when using CTRL+X. Other apps (like gedit) do behave correctly with SHIFT+DEL/INS.

Using SHIFT+DEL/INS is not documented but quite common.

tested with: tomboy-0.8.0_1
>How-To-Repeat:
using tomboy:
write text in a note, mark it, use SHIFT+DEL, paste it by either using SHIFT+INS, CTRL+V, old clipboard content is being pasted.

The copy and paste using shift-delete and shift-insert works as
intended in tomboy-0.8.0_1 and xfce4. Will try and test in Gnome as
 well.

No problem's here either using tomboy and Gnome. What did you try
pasting to? Have you tried rebuilding tomboy and seeing if the problem
 goes away?

 Tom,

sorry... no I haven't tried but this is on a new notebook, clean
install ~14 days ago. Will check out some things and come back to you.

 Chess,

thanks for checking this issue and sorry for my delay. I've been able to
check tomboy with a clean configuration (new user added) and this issue
  disappeared.

While I'm still having this problem with my regular user-id, this must
be something specific to my setup. I have no idea where to look for
this, but I can't blame tomboy for that. I agree to have this PR closed
but do appreciate any hints for looking at configuration options or knobs.

 Thanks!

 Volker

State-Changed-Why:
If the issue is user specific then it's probably not anything build related.
Best thing I can say is to slowly start configuring the new user like your
regular user starting with your environment and seeing if things break. If
you narrow down the problem it can be looked at again in a new PR.
