>Description:
hello,

i whas planning to upgrade bsd to 4.6, so i downloaded the first cd (twice).
everyting seems to go well at that time.
i burned the cd, maked a backup of my system, and start to update my system.
i put in the cd and typed on the prompt "reboot" and i pressed enter.
in the first screen i choose "upgrade a existing installation"
i did everyting the same as the last upgrade from 4.4 to 4.5.
everyting still seems to be fine.
now the trubbles begin, the screen that shows the copy info of the first trunk etc.
it all looks like that the upgrade procedure is started, but it will not start reading the cd at all, all numbers remain 0.
the cd is spinning up, the hard drive is active, but after a view seconds the cd stop spinning and nothing happens after that.
also the harddisk is not active anymore.

i decided to do a new install, but i get the same story as above with the upgrade, it stops after the first upgrade info screen.
i downloaded the cd again burned it on a new cd, i tried it again, but i get every time the same story as above.

finaly i did all steps exactly the same as descriped above with the 4.5 distro and everyting went fine.

can you tell me what is going on with the 4.6 distro, or what i'am doing wrong.

your sincerely,

bart weerstand

State-Changed-When: Tue Sep 24 12:17:28 PDT 2002
State-Changed-Why:
This behavior can not be reproduced. It could be caused by various
reasons, most likely marginal hardware/cd/drive combinations. Many
others have successfully installed/upgraded from the 4.6 isos, so
it's unlikely that the ISOs or installation per se are at fault.
