Josef - I've made a few small changes to the calendar file which
you sent us. I've named you as the maintainer, removed trailing
whitespace and removed the space between "Adar" and "!". There was
an "I" after "Adar" in the old version of the line "Be happy, It's
Adar!" - I presume you deliberately removed that. If this looks
OK then I'll commit it to -current and ask for it to be added
 in time for 4.5-RELEASE.

How do you get the updates for the calendar file? Maybe we should
produce a patch to calendar which can calculate the important days
in the Judaic calendar and then we can write a file which doesn't
need to be replaced every year?

(I know that this isn't feasable for some calendars, which rely on
observation to decide when festivals are. If I remember correctly
the judaic calendar is predictable, but it has a rather long cycle?)

 	David.

Thanks. I'll be glad to be the maintainer of this calendar. Yes, I did
remove the "I" from Adar I. Last year there were 2 months of Adar. Oh, the
joys of Lunar calendars. There should be a space between "Adar" and
"!". Aside from those changes, Thanks for double checking, This should be
 ready to commit.

I get these dates from consulting several Jewish calendars, my wife buys
_ALL_ the Jewish calendars each year, and consulting a Siddur, a book of
 common prayer.

Yes, we should produce a patch or write a tool that will generate these
dates. The Jewish calendar is a lunar one and there is a formula for
calculating these dates. My Rabbi in Hebrew school once tried to explain it
to the class. I was not paying attention that day ;-)

 I'll look into it.

 Thanks

 Josef
