I have compiled the kernal to include quotas and setup quotas on the system
on /var .
The problem is that it seems the reporting size differs from the actual file size 
on the partition. When the files size reported by du -s is 10757
quota -v reports 9797 What is wrong with the reporting on this os
I have another 3.5.1 server that is the same way and a 4.2 release 
that works correctly
