Would it be feasable to change the libgmp to a more recent version?
Versions from 3.0 on are a lot faster on contemporary hardware.
I tried to build contrib/libgmp with a newer version but didn't
find the line in the variuos Makefiles that actually calls the
./configure.

Best regards,

Matthias

Responsible-Changed-When: Sun Mar 11 16:01:41 PST 2001
Responsible-Changed-Why:
I have patches which do this, but I'd prefer instead to move libgmp
to ports and migrate the few consumers of libgmp to use libcrypto
instead. Anyway, I'll handle this one way or the other
