I had 4.1.1 updated from 4.1 updated from 4.0. All versions STABLE.
Using cvsup I got 4.2 STABLE. I did a 'make world' and it went ok.
Then I did a 'make install' It failed when it got to 'gnu/usr.bin.groff'.
I traced the problem to the installation script not being able to create
the directories 'devcp1047', 'devlbp' and 'devutf8' in directory 
'/usr/share/groff_font'. After I created the directories by hand it
went smoothly.
