 Gents,

we have been experiencing these panics (all of them) through our release testing
 of a RAID system.

 panic :ffs_alloccg : map corrupted
 panic :ffs_blkfree: freeing free frag

 adaptec 3940 U/W controller
 RAB 3600 RAID controller
 Celeron +TMC + DIMMS and AMD K6 + ARBOR + SIMMS motherboards
 FreeBSD3.0 and 4.1

3.0 just freezes or reboots and 4.1 throws up the above messages.

3.0 fails with SCSI drives and RAID controller
4.1 works with SCSI drives and fails with RAID controller

all systems also contain ATA drives no failures on those recorded

deleting 7GB of 1k files causes these failures within 5 minutes repeatably. We
 have 8 systems failing every
5-10 minutes for 6 weeks now.

State-Changed-Why:
For 6 weeks doesn't really help us, since we were unaware of your
system having problems.

I gather this is a SCSI:SCSI unit?

Do you have SCSI parity on?

Are you sure you have the proper cables?

How about termination?

For the record, the panic suggests to me, and some others, that
you are experiencing data corruption.
This can be due to bad system RAM, wrong memory timing settings in
BIOS, etc, etc.

You really need to provide more details, appropriate output from
/var/log/messages or /var/run/dmesg.boot and likewise.
