NOTICE dvd1.iso and dvd1.iso.gz are not same thing!!

i have downloaded and tried it twice 2 different mirrors. 
no way to verify gz or iso since gz will not extract!!
and NO-ONE is listing the GZ in the SHA1 or MD5SUM

The ISO file can be extracted by 'gunzip'ing the file. After that you 
can verify the file. From the ticket you submitted it seems that you did 
very different and imo unsupported things with it. Please consult the 
questions@ mailinglist for additional help.

 with gunzip
 
 
 The whole point of providing md5sum and sha1 is to verify the file that is
 downloaded NOT the one you extract!
