>Environment:
FreeBSD cyrix 3.2-RELEASE FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE #0
>Description:
I did a standard install of 3.2 and set up natd. Certain web sites
(www.compaq.com,www.nba.com) hang when accessing from behind the FreeBSD
box. Tested with Netscape on Linux, Windows NT, Windows95 and IE on the
windows systems. The natd box (connected via a cable modem) has no problems
accessing the sites. Removed all firewall rules to allow ip from any to any.
Replaced natd and /usr/libalias.so.2 from a working 3.1-R natd box and
had no problems.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to access www.compaq.com from behind a 3.2-R box using the new natd.

State-Changed-When: Thu Sep 9 04:40:50 PDT 1999
State-Changed-Why:
The problem is not reproduceable, www.compaq.com is accessible
through both 3.2-RELEASE and 3.2-STABLE hosts running natd(8).

Originator doesn't respond.

NB: www.compaq.com is blocking ICMP. That could cause problems
with IP Path MTU Discovery in certain cases (it depends on the
minimum MTU value along the way from your host to www.compaq.com).
