I have a linux disk that i mounted just fine manually ext2fs

so i edited the fstab and added this drive but I type the file type wrong.
system will not boot and drops into single user mode. I need to delete that line in etc/fstab. system drops to single user and will not let me edit fstab to delete line.

how do i get single user root file system to be RW

information, in your case please boot in single usermode, make sure you 
are root and do a mount -a after which you should be able to edit 
/etc/fstab and restore behaviour.

 This isn't a bug; there's no reason to file a Problem Report on it.
