I installed the FreeBSD bootloader to load FreeBSD and Windows. Every time the bootloader screen shows up, it beeps. I used to use Grub, and Grub doesn't have this problem. Actually GAG doesn't either. It's particularly annoying when you start your computer in the classroom, or late at home when everybody sleeps next to you.

Please provide additional info, like a complete 'dmesg' output and 'uname -a'.

 It's a feature I wouldn't want to miss on my monitor-less devices.

Think in terms of rack-mounted machines. This has been dicussed before,
 without a consensus being reached.

But rack-mounted machines are accessible through terminal, and I don't
see a benefit having a beep, be it on a server without monitor, or on
 a desktop.

You dont, others do, no consensus being reached, no need for a PR. Try to
reach a concensus first and then contact me to reopen the ticket please,
 thanks!
