I found a problem with that streamer on raid controller Dell Perc-4Di.

It seems that booting with FreeBSD 6.0 install cd, device sa0 exist:

sa0 at amr0 bus 1 target 6 lun 0
sa0:<SEAGATE DAT DAT72-052 A060> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-3 device
    Serial Number ......

but booting with FreeBSD 6.1 install cd, device sa0 doesn't exist,
verbose dmesg doesn't show any such device.

Full installation of 6.1 and cvsup, build, install world + kernel
(either GENERIC or SMP) doesn't help at all.

It seems that somewhere between 6.0R and 6.1R something bad
happens to kernel or FreeBSD amr driver scsi subsystem.

On any such Dell server with that tape drive and FreeBSD 6.1 Release or Stable

I have the exact same machine and I too can reproduce this bug except in
addition it exists in 6.2-STABLE as well as the recent 6.3-STABLE release.

It was not until I rolled back to 6.0-STABLE-p18 that sa0 was detected
 again.

Unfortunately that machine was reinstalled with Win2003Std
and now with Win2008R2 to deal with internal Forefront proxy.

Now I can't check sa0 driver from newest FreeBSD on exactely
that server whether it works with streamer PowerVault 100T-DAT72
or not but I have another one Dell so maybe I will be able
 to check this next week.

This is no longer relevant I think, the 'next week' was provided a few
weeks ago, but there was no response. Close the PR with feedback
timeout. Note to submitter, if you have information let us know so that
we can properly fix this...
