>Description:
I upgraded FreeBSD 5.4 to 6.0 and got a lot of problems with pcmcia cards. I searched problem reports and found that some changes to PCMCIA were made in Releng_6 so i upgraded system to FreeBSD 6.1-PRERELEASE. Now my ethernet card 3COM 575B is working fine but GPRS PCMCIA card is not working at all. Here is an output:

pccard0: Allocation failed for cfe 1
pccard0: Allocation failed for cfe 5
Interrupt storm detected on "irq9:"; throttling interrupt source
pccard0: No config entry could be allocated

I had no problems with this card on FreeBSD 5.4

Subject: Re: kern/94898 : [pcmcia] GPRS PCMCIA card cause interrupt storm and config not allocated (regression)

 I enabled debug information for pcmcia cards
 hw.cbb.debug=1
 hw.cardbus.debug=1
 hw.cardbus.cis_debug=1
 hw.pccard.debug=1
 hw.pccard.cis_debug=1
 and found out that this modem is trying to use
 addresses 0x3f8 or 0x2f8 which were used by sio
 already. So i disabled com2 in bios and managed to
 enable this gprs modem. Here is the output:

 This is a fast workaround but how can i use addresses
