Responsible-Changed-Why:
Whoops. Should have been ``freebsd-bugs', not just `bugs'

State-Changed-From-To: feedback->closed
State-Changed-By: joerg
State-Changed-When: Mon Dec 23 20:18:47 MET 1996
State-Changed-Why:
(Note: moved away from `confidential'.)

The request for feedback apparently timed out.
Anyway, the description of the problem is very vague to the best,
and roughly looks as if the modem speed isn't frozen.

Synopsis: getty
Severity: non-critical
Priority: high
Category: bin
Release: FreeBSD 2.1-STABLE i386
Class: sw-bug

Environment: 486DX2-66, VLB, 16 MB, E-IDE, 480MB IDE-HD,
 		2 x sio Multiport 16550C with Standartdefaults, 2 x
		V34 Modem(E-Tech Bullet 28.8) locked at 57.600 and
adjusted vor unix-service via hardwire(RS232C) signaling
		 + autanswer + no result msgs, /etc/gettytab and /etc/ttys
		adjusted, /dev/ttyd0 and /dev/ttyd1 correctected,
		 /etc/rc.serial with "mayby 0 1" and "modem 0 1" activated.

Description: Sio produce by call-ins after getty/modem reset garbage.
By a regular Logout trough the last Shell need the port
		reset via "hupcl"-flag extremly long.

How-To-Repeat: after every reset(hangup, processkilling, logout trough last
		shell).

Fix: No known.
When I open the port via the dependence Port(e. g. for ttyd0
		cuaa0) with a terminalprogramm(e. g. Kermit or others) then
is the port only for the next callin "clean".
