>Description:
System does not find disk drives attached to following disk controllers:
Adaptec 1200a (HPT370 based), IDE.
Promise Fasttrack TX2000, IDE.
Tekram TR824 (Sil3114 based), SATA.
Onboard ICH5, SATA.

During boot from install cd all controllers recognized properly, but in
any case attached disks was not found, neither as single disks, neither
as arrays.

The same behavior has been seen with 5.3 and 5.4 releases.

>How-To-Repeat:
Just try to install 5.3/5.4/6.0 on it.
>Fix:

Set hint.apic.0.disabled="1" at boot time/loader.conf

 Oops. Sorry for silence.
Machine in production from february, using "atapci0: <Promise PDC20271
UDMA133 controller>" without any workarounds and without problems.
Hovever i didn't try other mentioned controllers.
