FAILURE ATA-IDENTIFY timed out

when i boot from CD and i try to install FreeBSD 5.4 it allways gives me report for HDD:
ata0-master: FAILURE ATA-IDENTIFY timed out

I use:   
39266MB <ExcelStor Technology J240> [79780/16/63] at ata1-master UDMA100 
currently on FreeBSD 4.11

 You might want to try the latest 6.0-BETA (#4, IIRC), its release is  
 imminent.
