>Description:
One of the developers informed me that 'ipforward' was now available as a kernel module, but only in the -CURRENT release. Because ipfw can be loaded as a kernel module via 'kldload' it stands to reason that 'ipforward' should also be loadable via kernel module. Although a kernel re-compile is a somewhat trivial process, it would improve the system considerably if you could set up a NAT router without a kernel recompile, the same way you can if you are using the 'ppp' client (as with dial-up or DSL that uses PPPoE), by simply loading ipfw in /boot/loader.conf or as part of the 'rc' boot process.

>How-To-Repeat:
problem is a 'missing feature' (N/A)

>Fix:
6.0-CURRENT allegedly has a module for ipforward so a mechanism for making this work has already been devised.
