Sorry, machine is no longer available.
>Description:
The snd_via8233 module does not support the onboard sound of a Gericam X5 Force notebook, which according to OSS is a VIA8233A chip. The module will not identify a compatible chipset and won't initialize.
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to use the snd_via8233 module on a system with a VIA 8233 A chipset.
>Fix:
Using OSS is the only workaround that I have at the moment.

It looks to me like your chipset, "chip=0x30591106 rev=0x30" should be
probed as a "VIA VT8233 (pre)" in at least RELENG_5. Do you have
'device "snd_via8233"' in along with 'device "sound"' in your kernel?
