>Description:
Netscape (I have tried releases v403b8_freebsd and v45b1_freebsd) seem
to work just fine, but the system wedges hard (no response to any
keyboard input (not even ctl-alt-del) or network pings when I exit
the program.
>How-To-Repeat:
Run netscape and exit.

State-Changed-Why:
Problem might have gone away, but let se, maybe he has some special
hardware/software configuration.

Does this problem still occur? The SNAPshot you are referring to is
 quite old.

Most people using FreeBSD use Netscape once in a while, so I think this
problem is either solved or specific to your machine.

Could you send more details about your hardware and version of FreeBSD
 and XFree

The output of the following commands would be appreciated:

 dmesg
 X -probeonly
 uname -a

 Thanks.

I only vaguely remember this problem. I think it was peculiar to
CURRENT or SNAP releases leading up to the 3.0-RELEASE. I think it
has gone away. I can't really tell you about the old system
configurations because those old machines are all now running
 some other OS.

I think this bug is now moot.

State-Changed-Why:
No information on the machines that the problem occurred on is available.
Most probably the problem has been solved in the meantime or was
specific to that hardware.
