 it now also prints on the console:
 
 	amr0: bad slot 0 completed
 and
 	amr0: bad slot 2 completed
 
 and it's not only dump, now tar also, i guess heavy i/o will doit.

 it also hangs with kern.smp.disabled="1", so also UP is
 affected.

 I have the same problem under 5.3 with a re-badged MegaRAID.  Our card
 is an Intel SRCU42X and we've had a number of hangs complete with "bad
 slot" messages on the console.

Danny, your PR is quite old and unfortunately 5.3-STABLE is out of support now for quite a while.
