 My System:

 Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop Pentium III
 1Ghz 128MB
 15 LCD inch screen
 Toshiba DVD-ROM, Sony CD-RW
 3Com GSM Megahertz CXM756 Modem PCMCIA card(non-winmodem)
 20GB harddrive
 ESS Maestro 3
 FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE

 Okay, I applied the exca.c.diff patch which was posted by Andrew Belashov, okay thanks good work.

 The patch worked great I rebuilt the kernel; and the newly installed kernel detects the card see dmesg.txt attached; now FreeBSD 5.2.1-RELEASE at least detects the card and identifies it correctly. Now the problem is I cannot get the card to dialout usin g KPPP.
 pccard_enable="YES" is activated in /etc/rc.conf

 I have tried running the command ttys -f /dev/cuaa0 and it shows up as operational but it does not dialout. So at least now I know this card has the potential to be used by FreeBSD, but what am I doing wrong now ?

 I know it works I have tested it out on RedHat Linux and it dials out fine with no problems.
