	Pentium-166 with PCI/PNP motherboard.

>Description:

I've found it exceedingly hard to find a compatible sound card.
Increasingly, they all seem to PNP configure --- with very little choice
or information on how to use their 'SB' emulation mode. I'm not positive
what can be done here (like if it's possible to look through the PNP
information to determine if PNP sound cards are present), but not having
a history of old sound cards to draw on, I'm finding it very hard
to find one that I can use.

I suppose something that configs with plain old jumpers would
be ideal... but I don't see where I can get that anymore. I'd even
settle for 'buy here' advice... if the price were acceptable.

>How-To-Repeat:

	Fairly easy :).

>Fix:

	None known.

My gravis ultrasound (16?) seems to work great under freebsd 2.2.5. Its
not pnp, but I don't know whether or not its readily availableon the
market. I have everything working but midi, but then that didn't exactly
 happen easily.
