System: FreeBSD nfs3.math.jussieu.fr 4.8-RELEASE FreeBSD 4.8-RELEASE #0: Tue Apr 29 16:57:12 CEST 2003 root@nfs3.math.jussieu.fr:/usr/src/sys/compile/NFS3 i386

on a HP/Compaq Proliant ML350 G3 server

with a HP/Compaq FCA (Fiber Channel Adapter) 2214 (alias a Qlogic QLA2340)

optically connected directly (without a Fiber Channel hub or a switch) to
a HP/Compaq MSA 1000 Disk Array with a Fiber Channel/RAID Controller.

>Description:

When we make a power off on the Proliant server, at the next
power on, the boot is blocked when the isp driver is loaded.
The driver does not find the Fiber Channel Link.

	We find this workaround :
we boot from a HP/Compaq CD-ROM, with a Linux kernel
and so with the Linux driver for the FCA.

When we make juste a reboot, without power off, the problem
	does not appear.

>How-To-Repeat:

At each power off, the problem appears.

>Fix:

	We have no idea :-(
