>Release: FreeBSD 3.0-current
>Organization:
Michigan Technological University
>Environment:

Toshiba Satellite Pro 405CS notebook with a 3com Etherlink III
PCMCIA ethernet card.

>Description:

Machine suspend/resumes fine, unless the ethernet card is inserted.
If the card is inserted, the machine locks solid when resumed and a
hardware reset is necessary. None of the usual kernel resume messages
are generated before the lockup; the machine also never indicates it's
suspending the ethernet card when it's suspended.

>How-To-Repeat:

Insert 3com Etherlink III card and allow pccardd to recognize and set up
the card. Suspend the machine with the power button on the side. (using
zzz would probably also work.) Unsuspend machine by pressing the button
again after it's powered itself off. Observe resulting lockup.

State-Changed-Why:

Can you upgrade to the most recent version of the sources to see if it
makes any difference? Also, I need more information about your setup,
such as boot messages, whether or not you've rebuilt pccardd recently, your
config file, etc...
