>Description:
Sound doesn't work properly on my Sony Vaio PCG-31F1.

I have "device	pcm" in my kernel config file.

	#cat /dev/sndstat
	FreeBSD Audio Driver (newpcm)
	Installed devices:
	pcm0: <Yamaha DS-1E (YMF754)> at memory 0xfedf0000 irq 9 (4p/2r/0v channels duplex)
	#

However - when I try to play sound, I get a crackling sound from the
	internal speaker.

Sound works fine with Windows XP on this machine, so I'm fairly
confident it's not a hardware issue.

The following message appears repeatedly in /var/log/messages when
	attempting to play sound:

pcm0:play:0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead
>How-To-Repeat:
Try to play sound using the sound device. (eg, mpg123, xmms, play)
>Fix:
	Unknown

Should the be superseded by kern/53264? Although that talks about newer
Vaios, which use snd_ich.ko, the problem looks the same...
