>Description:

I am trying to install and use Lucent Orinoco Silver card connected
via Lucent PCI card adapter. After booting the machine, the pccardd
recognizes the card and it is started ok. Then, it associates to
desired SSID AP and I can see MAC of the parent AP via wicontrol. But,
in the moment when I issue command to give this wi0 interface an IP
address and I try to send some packets to the air I get only the
message "/kernel: wi0 watchdog timeout", and this repeats over and
over.

This often happens with IRQ conflicts. Have you checked this?

 Hello freebsd-gnats-submit,

1st: Check BIOS setup... Option "Plug & Play OS" must be Disabled
for correct work FreeBSD with IRQ's
2nd: Try reinstall PCI Adapter to other PCI slot. Reboot system
3rd: Review pccard.conf file for bugs
4th: Maybe kernel compiled without using wi0? (It's impossible)
5th: If it not work, send me your logs and pccard.conf file, maybe
        I'll can help you...

 Best regards,
  administrator mailto:administrator@aviso.ukrwest.net

Responsible-Changed-Why:
this is an irq conflict of some sort. However, I need more
information to fix this. Do a boot verbose and send me the pci
interrupt routing information that this produces. It may well be that
your motherboard doesn't support this and you are SOL at the moment.
