>Description:
After upgrading my FreeBSD 4.4 RELEASE to 4.6 RELEASE, the whole system locks up about once a day.
Before the upgrade, there was no problem at all - the machine was running 24/7 over months.
There have been made no hardware changes on the related machine.
Below is the configuration output (dmesg).

Any ideas?
Thanx,
-ds-

State-Changed-By: kris
State-Changed-When: Thu Jul 17 17:52:07 PDT 2003
State-Changed-Why:
Does this persist with more recent releases?
Does the system panic, or lock up with no messages on the console?
If it panics, please obtain a debugging traceback as explained in
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/developers-handbook/kerneldebug.html
If it just locks up with no status messages, it might be due to
failing hardware, Try replacing the hardware and see if the problem
persists.

 Hi,
 sorry for the delay ...

 it's not reproduceable ...
after compiling and linking with kdb, system locks again but very
 seldom.
calling the kdb is not possible because the machine is really dead
 ...
in teh meantime I think it's possibly a thermic problem ... there is
no other logical decalration for this phaenomen.

 regards,
 - -ds-
