>Release: FreeBSD 3.0-970527-SNAP i386
>Organization:
>Environment:

	2.2.2-RELEASE and 3.0-970527-SNAP boot.flp
	motherboards:
		TYAN S1563D and ASUS P/I-P65UP5 + C-P55T2D
	NCR-810 SCSI adapter + Quantum Fireball TM3200N

>Description:

As discussed in hardware group, the failure on installing 2.2.2
and 3.0-970527-SNAP has been conerned as software bug, but not
	hardware problem.
Above environment have been used to run 2.1.7x & 2.2.1, and alos
Solaris 2.5.1.u8 is able to run SMP mode on TYAN S1563D motherboard.
So, these hardwares have no problem at this point.

The installation gets page fault before switch to the Welcome menu.
This only happens when more than two Quantum Fireball TM3200N added
to the NCR-810 SCSI chain regardless how is the SCSI termination and
	put SCSI disk drives internally/externally.

This is very strange behave. How could # of SCSI disk causes page fault?
This happens to both 2.2.2-RELEASE and 3.0-970527-SNAP boot.flp.

>How-To-Repeat:

	See Description.

>Fix:
2.2.2 hasn't supported SMP for a long time.

3.0-970527-SNAP is now ancient history and many chanfges have been
made to the VM system.

If this is still a problem in current the reporter should refile
with information on specifics of the failure.
