 Description:

When plaing audio of any kind ( e.g. with mpg123, xmms, various applications under X, vmvare, etc...) machine eventually hang.
The time I can play audio differs. Sometimes I can listen mp3's for some hours, sometimes machine hangs in few minutes.
There is nothing written on console. Machine totally hangs - keyboard, mouse, network not is not responding. However it does not recover, as mentioned below.

The same problem was described on FreeBSD Stable List.

 Hey all,
A couple of make worlds ago, (I don't know the exact date for
shame! ) probably on the order of a month or so, an audio problem popped
up. If I play audio for any length of time, my machine will eventually
hang. I am usually using xmms or mplayer. It happens less with xmms.
The machine will be playing along then freeze, the note it is on
keeps repeating... I can't move the mouse.. keyboard doesn't work.. can't
ping the machine from another host.. totally frozen.. It does eventually
recover after ~5 mins or so.
After that first make world it was the worst, successive builds
seem to be better but the problem is definately still there. I am
currently running a build from Dec 24.
Can anyone offer help or point me in the direction of how to track
 down what is going on?

 Thanks,
 David

 How-To-Repeat:
 	Not-repeatable in general case.
On some configurations we need to listen music withing soundcard for some hours.

 Fix:

I think the problem is incorrect handling hardware interrupt of the soundcard.
But it is only one of many possible reasons.

No, the problem disappeared somewhere in 4.7 - 4.9. Sorry I cannot tell more
 exact date.

Anyway I do not have problems with sound integrated into this motherboard on
 5.4.
