 Hi,

Just wondering if these patches are committed into the
 	distribution yet.

I've seen similar problems in FreeBSD 4.1.1 where I specified
"pseudo-device gif 32" and then portmap didn't work correctly
on Libretto 110CT. portmap appeared to be running, but nothing
(amd, ypbind, etc) can register with it. If I comment out the
gif line and recompile the kernel, everything worked again.

I think it's a serious problem especially for laptops where the
NIC got attached after all the pseudo interfaces. You probably
won't see this often on desktops.

It's probably too late to get these patches into 4.2, but I was
just wondering if anyone is actaully looking into this since
there were no updates since July.

 	Thanks,

 	yushun.
