 You forgot to quote the most important part: the INQUIRY string of
 your drive, as dmesg(8) is reporting.  Probably the model number is
 too different from what the kernel recognizes as an HP4020.

 Sorry, here it is: "HP C4324/C4325 1.20".
 It used to work, and it still works with older kernel binaries I kept.
