sorry.. i am not on the machine.. it shouldnt make a difference i hope
>Description:
Ok. The problem is that with the 2.2-ALPHA the screen flickers/wavers
at the top during system work... You know it pushes in and out, etc.
It is apparently a syscons problem that does NOT involve virtual
consoles (i turned all of em off and tried as well). The card is a S3
Trio64V+ on a 14 inch monitor
>How-To-Repeat:
Well, get an S3 Trio64v+ and a 14 inch monitor i guess.
>Fix:
The syscons in previous versions (2.1.5-RELEASE works and i am going
to try 2.1.6-RELEASE on it) email me if you wish me to share the
results of 2.1.6-RELEASE

I noticed the same problem with a Diamond Stealth card, as well as with a
 machine using an ET4000.

 Hi.

You both reported that the screen flickers/wavers badly when
running FreeBSD 2.2-ALPHA back in December last year.

Numerous improvements have been made in the console driver since
then. If you have a chance to try the latest version of FreeBSD,
2.2.5-RELEASE, please report if you still see the same problem.

 Thank you.
